Japan to train Afghan police in Turkey

The government will dispatch police personnel to Turkey to train Afghan police officers, using police training facilities in Turkey. Japanese police are expected to teach Afghan counterparts how to do crime lab work, fight drug trafficking and set up a koban system, among other things. To both improving security in Afghanistan and indirectly supporting the U.S. government, which is bearing a huge financial burden from its operations in Afghanistan.

In November last year, the Japanese government promised to contribute a total of 5 billion dollars to replace the Indian Ocean mission as Japan's main contribution to stabilizing Afghanistan.

The government, which is already paying part of salaries of about 80,000 Afghan police officers, decided on the police training project in an Islamic third country after concluding it would be problematic to dispatch Japanese police officers to Afghanistan.

Originally, Indonesia was one of the candidate countries for training Afghan police, but it was not prepared to host the project.

In my opinion, It is good idea to train military and support because the military of country is the main factor to protect the country.

Japan watching China' s military

Japan would keep a close eye on China' s military, and US government reports that the added protection of Chinese military will impact to East Asia's military balance.
Japan's defence ministry comment came after Chinese naval helicopters crashed Japanese destroyers watching their naval flotillas near Japanese islands. Japan will pay attention to China' s military if they will make important impact to Japan's regions. the spokeswoman said that Beijing' s objective is protect their territories.

In its annual report to Congress, the US Defence Department said that China was increased investment in an array of areas including nuclear weapons, long-range missiles, submarines, aircraft carriers and cyber warfare.

The Pentagon paper estimated that China spended more than $US150 billion ($A166.98 billion) in 2009, including areas that do not figure in the publicly released budget.

In my opinion, Thai government does not want to support Thai' s military a lot because the most important thing that they want to do now is developed economic. We can focus to terrible politic situation that was in few months, so it is the reason why Thai government has to support Thai economic.

China's rich tourists bring a shopping revolution to Japan

Nowadays, Japan is the popular coutry for the Chinese people to immigrate to Japan, and they come to Japan because of Business. For instance, they want to boot their business in Japan such as service sector, including fast food outlets, cleaning businesses and small stores. Moreover there are 80 percent of Chinese people have visited to Japan.

About fashional businese, Chinese shoppers are more interested to Japanese products as well. On the other hand, Japanese shoppers used to pour by the planeload into Paris, Milan and New York to buy exclusive European and US brands.

Japanese customers said that Chinese employers are polite and friendly to them more than Japanese employers.

In my opinion, In Thailand, there are many Chinese people to do a business as well. There are 2 reasons to support it. Firstly, from the pass of Thailand, there were many Chinese to immigrate in Thailand a lot because of the bad problem of war world. Secondly, Thailand does not have more employers. Therefore, Chinese people would be influencing people to the development of the country.

Low-carbon Country

Japan desires to get back to one of the top leader in low-carbon country by doing emission reduction, and Japan came out with an idea as a trade scheme called ‘emission trading scheme’ but in order program to succeed, emission trading might impact and affects to Japan economy. The report also compared with other leading countries such as Germany and United State. Japan was considering with the intention of control emission in the country by give the emission allowances to the companies in Japan in order to reduce carbon. Japan believed that emission trading scheme will definite to get them back to leader again as a low-carbon. However, there are some conflicts from industry group said that it might weaken Japan’s prospect to draw level with Germany because their currently hold the leading position. At the end whether scheme is going to work or not but the only thing that their be able to achieve now is to maintain carbon as a low level as it possibly can.
In my opinion, I think that Thailand is one of the top country in the world which has a high carbon release. Carbon can destroy a natural environment, and can affect to the problem of the earth such as global warming , greenhouse effect and so on. Everyone should to be conscious to this problem, and we have to find to solve them as well.

Toyota's Japan hybrid sales top one million

Toyota company is the top company to sell hybrid vehicle in Japan, and it had sold 2.68 million of the vehicles by the end of July.

The front-runner in hybrid cars from Toyota that use two power sources, and they are a gasoline engine and an electric motor .

Currently, nine Toyota-produced hybrid vehicle models and three hybrid commercial vehicle models are sold in Japan and a total of eight passenger hybrid models is sold in overseas.

The one thing that hybrid vehicle has sold a lot because of high gasoline prices that every countries had standes from this situation of high cost.

In my opinion, Toyota is the popular company to sell a car to Thai people as well bacause of low price and good quality of company that has reputation from every countries around the world.

Temperatures in greater Tokyo area hit 38 C in clear weather+

the Japan Meteorological Agency said, Tokyo and the counties which near from Japan had heat with temperatues topping 38 C in some places, and In the greater Tokyo area, temperatures of 38.2 C were recorded in two cities in Gunma Prefecture.

A total of 676 locations saw temperatures of 30 C or more across the nation.
The scorching weather will likely persist throughout this month, the agency said.

In my opinion, Thailand has heat temperetures more of 30C , so it is normally for Thai people to see this situation from Japan. Nevrtheless, Japan has never met the heat temperetures before , so that will prove ,the Eart้ has had terrible environment already.

Japan pursues moon station by 2020

Japan will send a wheeled robot into the moon in five years and building a lunar base by 2020.
The robot will observe device to gather geological samples. The materials will send back to Earth by rocket, and the robot will work from the lunar base at the moon from 2020.

However, the government has to spend the unmanned mission would cost $2.57 billion over the next 10 years, which could be a problem given government efforts to cut expenditure for the project.
"It is extremely important to probe the moon ... as we now see the dawn of the age of great exploration in the solar system," the report said.
In my opinion, Thailand cannot effort to send a human or make a rocket into outside the Earth, so it is very difficult to send a wheeled robot to observe the Moon that is outside the Earth.
On the other hand, probably for next 20 years Thai government will be interested to plan a project to send a rocket to the outside world.

SENDAI (Kyodo) Scientists from Tohoku University and Tohoku Electric Power Co. have discovered production methods of ethanol from seaweed such as sea tangle and sea grape.
They use natural yeast to make ethanol from fermentation method by the seaweed.
Ethanol is a form renewable energy which through the sugar fermentation process. The new technology can help the global food problem in the future, the scientists said. When the people use a lot of seaweed to make ethanol that can reduce the seaweed from the seaside a lot. Moreover, In two weeks, they succeeded in generating 200 milliliters of ethanol from 1 kg of seaweed.'
Japan has large reserves of sea tangle and sea grape in seas, while Tohoku Electric Power's thermal power plant in Shichigahama, Miyagi Prefecture, annually sees 300 tons of seaweed flowing into its intake for cooling waters, the scientists said.In my opinion, I think, In Thailand, There are not a lot of seaweeds because we can see a reason from the seaweed product that Thai people often buy the seaweed from Korea, but we can help the environment by other solutions such as to plan trees and reduce pollution.

The shinkansen

The Shinkansen , also known as the bullet train, is a network of high speed railway lines in Japan operated by four Japan railways group companies. Starting with the 210 km/h (130 mph) Tokaido Shinkansen in 1964, the now 2,459 km (1,528 mi) long network has expanded to link most major cities on the islands of Honshu and Kyushu at speeds up to 300 km/h (186 mph). Test runs have reached 443 km/h (275 mph) for conventional rail in 1996, and up to a world record 581 km/h (361 mph) for maglev trainsets in 2003.
Shinkansen literally means new trunk line, referring to the tracks, but the name is widely used inside and outside Japan to refer to the trains as well as the system as a whole. The name Superexpress, initially used for Hikari trains, was retired in 1972 but is still used in English-language announcements and signage.

The Tōkaidō Shinkansen is the world's busiest high-speed rail line. Carrying 151 million passengers a year (March 2008), it has transported more passengers (over 6 billion) than any other high speed line in the world. Between Tokyo and Osaka, the two largest metropolises in Japan, up to ten trains per hour with 16 cars each (1,300 seats capacity) run in each direction with a minimum of 3 minutes between trains. Though largely a long-distance transport system, the Shinkansen also serves commuters who travel to work in metropolitan areas from outlying cities.

Air Transport in Japan

In Japan, There are three The main international gateways, and they are Narita Internaltional Airport (Tokyo Area), Kansai Internaltional Airport (Osaka,Kobe,Kyoto Area) and Chubu Centrair Internaltional Airport (Nagoya Area), and The main domestic hub is Tokyo Internaltional Airport where is the busiest Airport in Asia.

The two main Airlines are All Nippon Airways and Japan Airlines. Formerly, The major Internaltional operators from Narita Airport are Northwest Airlines.

Domestic air travel in Japan has historically been highly regulated. From 1972, The three major domestic Airlines were JAL, ANA, and JAS, and they allocated certain routes, with JAL and ANA sharing trunk routes, and ANA and JAS sharing local feeder routes. JAL also had a flag-carrier monopoly on international routes until 1986. Airfares were set by the government until 2000, although carriers had freedom to adjust the standard fares starting in 1995 (when discounts of up to 50% were permitted). Today, fares can be set by carriers, but the government retains the ability to veto fares that are impermissibly high.

My opinion: Japan is a power country, so there are a lot of Airports in the country.
